Fire tanker configurations on URAL chassis

Pumps

NTsPN-40/100 is a normal-pressure centrifugal pump with a flow of 40 L/s. NTsPN-70/100 delivers 70 L/s. Both can be mid- or rear-mounted. NTsPK-40/100-4/400 is a combined pump: 40 L/s at normal pressure and 4 L/s at high pressure, rear-mounted, with a high-pressure hose reel and spray nozzle.

Tank

From 3,000 to 6,000 L, made of structural or stainless steel or plastic. The foam concentrate tank sits inside the water tank and is made of corrosion-resistant materials.

Body

A welded steel-profile frame with steel or aluminium cladding, or an all-aluminium frame and cladding. Panels are bonded to the frame with adhesive technology that protects against crevice corrosion.

Compartments

All compartment doors can be panel doors, all roller shutters, or side roller shutters with a panel door on the pump compartment. A safety-glass inspection window can be fitted in the pump compartment door. Steps are fold-down or pull-out, and the rear compartment can get a swivel panel for firefighting equipment.

Cab

A two-row crew cab for at least 7 people, one open space without partitions so the crew can see and hear each other. Cab width 1,280 mm, second-row seats 1,900 mm. Breathing apparatus and spare cylinders are built into the seat backs.

Hoses

Compartments for 125 mm pressure-suction hoses sit at chassis frame level, no higher than 1,300 mm above the ground.
